“Gen Con: The Best Four Days of Gaming!”
This was the 54th Gen Con Convention.

Gen Con is the shortened version of the original name when the convention started in 1968 and was held in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. It was originaly called the “Lake Geneva Wargaming Convention.” In 2019 nearly 70,000 people attended the 4 day convention in Indianapolis.

In 2021, Gen Con was held in-person at Indianapolis, Indiana, USA as well as virtually, and through pop-up meetings at local gaming stores around the world.
35,000 people attended the in-person portion. The convention had an exhibit hall featuring over 320 exhibitors, artists, and authors. The convention offered over 6500 events for particpants to choose from, and there were over 200 open gaming tables avaiable to play and learn games.

I have been attending Gen Con regulalrly since 2006. My brother got me to go and he attended his first Gen Con in 1981.
We have always had three rules for attending Gen Con:
Rule #1: No Whining. (You need to have a good attitude about everything after all you are at Gen Con.)
Rule #2: Take a shower at least once every 24 hours.
Rule #3: When in doubt refer to Rule #1.
